Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the Mickey & Co. collection was one of the most popular Disney themed merchandise lines out there. Mickey & Co. was a huge success and helped to shape how Disney used Mickey Mouse and the Fab 5 on their merchandise. Mickey & Co. had a distinct look and feel that allowed fans to easily recognize a piece from the collection.
As the 2000s approached, Mickey & Co. made way for other retail strategies and collections. Then in the mid-2010s, Disney brought back Mickey and Co. through licensing agreements.
